I work as predominately for a web development company based in the heart of Canberra – Looking Glass Solutions – and as freelance contract designer. [More…]

KLEPAS.ORG

KLEPAS.ORG serves as a personal platform to write about work, typography and whatever else strikes my fancy. It will soon also serve as my portfolio.

The website is built around four columns – columns measure 200 pixels with 25-pixel wide gutters, and 40-pixel wide left and right hand margins giving a total width of 955 pixels.

I aimed for a simple design that’s decorated by the content; type is set in Georgia and Helvetica with Times New Roman and Verdana as respective fall-back while wp-typogrify helps beautify the rest.

On the technical side it is held together by WordPress which is supported by a LAMP stack. Sandbox was used as a base for the site design providing microformat support and increased accessiblity.

The website is written in valid, transitional, and semantic XHTML and styled in valid CSS. If you find broken links or anything else you believe is a genuine error please send me an e-mail.

This is currently version two of KLEPAS.ORG.

Life

I was born in Mainz, Germany, but moved with my immediate family to Sydney, Australia at the age of seven.

I completed primary education in Sydney before moving to Canberra for my secondary education. I graduated from Hawker College in 2007.

Otherwise I…

  • am a Leo by star sign — hence the friendly guardian on the front page;
  • enjoy good coffee;
  • practive parkour (l’art du déplacement);
  • listen to a large variety of music;
  • have four piercings: left ear lobe, two left eyebrow, and lip; an Ashley piercing (inverted vertical labret) and I am contemplating more;
  • have a separate portfolio on deviantART, host my presentation slides on Slideshare and share my professional profile on LinkedIn.
2008

In May I will move back to Germany until the end of 2008. I look forward to touching up my German language skills, snapping photos of many memorable moments and expanding my skills and career.

Conversation

I enjoy correspondence and meeting new people; I love friendly emails and a good conversation over coffee.
