Konqueror 4

Again, this has been around for a while, but as I was cleaning my bookmarks out today I felt it was worth blogging in order to allow those of you who haven’t seen this awesome mockup and explaination of Konqueror 4 to get an idea what sort of great mockups are being shared across the ideas table.

Check it out. ;)

I would dearly love to see Gonqueror one day. Or Xonqueror. Or something that doesn’t need me to install so much KDE to use it. It’s a very swoit piece of technology that I haven’t really had the chance to enjoy, seeing it really doesn’t like playing well with Gnome.

It really makes me with rendering engines were plugins for the browser that we could easily swap and share. :-)

Hmm, that indeed does look nice - might even get me to try KDE again for the full functionallity.

Being able to choose between G/X/K-onqueror would be cool, and not all that difficult I guess, once you’ve done G/X, as they both use GTK. Also having browsers that could swap rendering engines would also be most certainly damn cool, but I think quite hard to achieve…

I doubt the Konqueror dudes would be all that interested in writing some support for gecko…

    Ah well. :)
