Sticking my toe into the big tub of CSS

…And damn, it’s hot! I’ve been doing a bit of web design work recently and after having seen some of the nifty things friends and admired can do I decided finally learn some more CSS, as I should. Tate has been kindly helping me out here and there and now I’ve almost got a two-column template ready which I intend to use for my first WordPress theme sometime within the near future. I would love to do something like a week-long WordPress theme designing spree with some friends during some distant holidays…

I wasn’t very happy with the design this place is using and after seeing what Phu Ly has done with his site as of late, I was overcome with a desire to revamp a bit (not to mention awe). So, taking Phu’s Ambiru, a lovely photo from stock.xchange and some time, I think I’ve plugged the hole and I ought to be sticking with it for a while.

In other news Peter Costello has released the 2006-07 Australian Budget. I’ve had a quick glance at it, but intend to go through it more thoroughly on the weekend.

Oh, dear me. The name sounded feminine. I suppose that shows you what us Europeans know about Asian names.

This must come as quite weird to you given you recently even wrote about names and their etymology.

No worries, it’s an understandable mistake. I was more amused than abashed.
I guess I need to add a photo to my about page:)
