I didn't switch because I found one better than the other, rather I just liked Ubuntu and when I munted my Qt libraries under SUSE I then just moved to Ubuntu, which I've now followed through with on the laptop because I'm fond of Ubuntu. I’ve been using GNOME now for about, er… just over 2 months. Before that I’ve pretty much always been a KDE user.
